Twentyfive years ago I discovered wood turning as an art form.  My passion for collecting soon turned to a part-time vocation.  Along the way I found Banksia seed pods that had been turned as weed pots and candle holders. I developed techniques required to turn these pods into hollow form vessels.

My style varies tremendously; l am loathe to remain stagnant. My work has been influenced by Grecian pottery, modern glass work, ancient Native American vessels, and even natural disasters. Sometimes the wood reveals an appropriate form and sometimes I have predetermine the exact form and dimensions I want to achieve.

I am a member of Tryon Painters and Scuptors, the Spartanburg Artists Guild, Souther Exposure artists co-op, and a juried member of the Southern Highlands Craft Guild. My work has been in exhibits throughout the country, including South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Washington DC, Tennessee, Colorado, and California. I have also exhibited in museums in Virginia, Florida , Pennsylvania, and Montana.
